Pat
Toth-Smith, a featured artist in the July/August 2005
issue of Wildlife Art Magazine, has been a photographer
for over 15 years. She recently (fall 2005) appeared as
a featured guest on the Darlene Carmen's Painting
Gourmet TV Show on cable channel 15 and 27. She has
exhibited her wildlife and nature work in numerous art
festivals, galleries, and businesses on the East and
West coasts including Contemporary Crafts Market Santa
Monica, Affaire in the Garden Beverly Hills, Palo Alto
Celebrates the Arts, and Tempe Festival of the Arts
Arizona. Her work has appeared in Sierra, Climbing, and
Rock and Ice magazines as well as textbooks and catalogs
promoting conservation and recyclable products. Pat was
trained in photography at Laney College in Oakland,
California and has also done photojournalism, portrait
work, and wedding and commercial photography. She has a
B.S. degree from NYU.
Pat Toth-Smith's nature and wildlife photographs have
been taken throughout the United States, Canada, and in
Costa Rica primarily at National, State and Regional
Parks. She uses a Mamiya 6 medium format camera for
scenic work and a canon 35mm for wildlife. To disturb
the wildlife as little as possible Pat uses telephoto
lenses (1000mm, 500mm and 200mm).
